Global Dignity

“We believe that the world becomes a better place
when we become better at taking care of ourselves and others”

Soulaima Gourani holds Global Dignity’s Danish Country Chair, and is a member of Global Dignity’s global Board of Directors in New York.

Global Dignity has just recently been established in Denmark, but it has a rather long history. The foundation operates in 50 countries and focuses on children and young people. You can read more about the foundation here.

We promote dignity as a foundation stone of the way we treat ourselves and others through Global Dignity initiatives. We believe that the world becomes a better place when we become better at taking care of ourselves and others!

Global Dignity consists of an advisory board with profiles such as the following:

  • Sir Richard Branson (founder and chairman of Virgin Group, Virgin Records, and Virgin Atlantic Airways).
  • Professor Amartya Sen (professor of economics and philosophy at Harvard University, Nobel Prize winner in Economic Sciences).

Global Dignity is an independent and politically neutral initiative established by Crown Prince Haakon (of Norway) Pekka Himanen and John Hope Bryant.
